Purpose
To nurture the conditions in which local people and agencies can together create a Live Well neighbourhood, which connects people, places and support into a joined-up local system, working together to improve well-being and to reduce inequalities.
Each neighbourhood should reflect its diverse conditions and population, so that everyone can access great everyday support.
Activity
We are starting from the roots – the strengths and assets of the neighbourhood.
We are bringing together local people and local organisations into spaces in order to collaborate and to create new solutions together. These will be tested through collaborative learning and reflection and then developed.
This will steadily increase the number of people and organisations involved in a connected local network, which will steadily define what a Live Well neighbourhood means in practice.
From this, the case for the concept and a practical proposal will be made to system leaders, with a view to spreading and ‘mainstreaming’ it, with system support.
